Terms of Service

OneWayPrep ("we", "us") operates the website onewayprep.app, an interview practice tool run by an independent solo developer. By using the site you agree to these terms.

1. The service

OneWayPrep is a browser-based practice simulator for one-way (asynchronous) video interviews. The core practice loop is free and requires no account: paste a job description, receive AI-generated practice questions, record timed answers, and get basic feedback. Your video and audio are captured and processed entirely in your browser and are never uploaded to us.

2. The one-time Deep Review purchase

You can optionally purchase a Deep Review for a one-time fee of $12 USDper practice session. It analyzes the text transcripts of that session's answers and returns STAR-structure checks, suggested rewrites, memory cards, a coached second-take flow, and a text-based before/after comparison. Filler-word and pacing findings apply only to speech-derived transcripts. It is a single purchase — no subscription, no recurring charges, no stored payment method. The review is generated and delivered in your browser immediately after payment.

3. Payments and billing

Orders are processed by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Waffo Pancake (Waffo.com Limited), who handles payment processing, sales tax/VAT, invoices, and order-related inquiries. Your card statement may show a descriptor referencing Waffo. We never see or store your card details.

4. Refunds

If a Deep Review fails to generate after successful payment, contact us and we will make it right — a fresh attempt or a full refund, your choice. For any other issue, email lio222832@gmail.com within 14 daysof purchase and we will review the request case by case, in line with the Merchant of Record's refund process. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

5. AI disclosure

Question generation and feedback are produced by third-party large-language-model providers (routed via OpenRouter to providers such as Google, OpenAI, or DeepSeek). Only text — the job description you paste and the transcripts of your answers — is sent to these providers. Video and audio never leave your device. AI output can be imperfect; treat feedback as practice guidance, not professional advice.

6. Acceptable use

• Use the service only for lawful, personal interview practice.
• Do not attempt to abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or resell the service or its API endpoints.
• Do not paste content you do not have the right to share (e.g. confidential documents).
• Do not use the service to attempt to access, game, or predict any employer's actual screening systems.

7. Breach and termination

If you violate these terms — including the acceptable-use rules above — we may, at our discretion and with or without notice, suspend or permanently block your access to the service (including API access), cancel pending orders, and refuse future purchases. Purchases connected to abuse or fraud are not refundable, and confirmed payment fraud or chargebacks may be reported to the Merchant of Record and relevant authorities. Where a violation is minor and correctable, we will normally contact you first at the email associated with your order. You may stop using the service at any time; sections 4, 9, and 10 survive termination.

8. No affiliation, no guarantee

OneWayPrep is not affiliated with HireVue, Spark Hire, or any interview platform or employer. It is a practice aid only: we make no promises about interview outcomes, job offers, or how any employer will evaluate you.

9. Intellectual property

The site, its design, and its content are ours. Your answers and recordings are yours — they stay on your device, and the feedback generated for you is yours to keep and use.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (for free usage, $0; for a Deep Review, $12).

11. Changes

We may update these terms; the version and effective date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
