What this is

OneWayPrep is a practice simulator for one-way (asynchronous) video interviews. It generates questions from your actual job description and makes you answer them under the real format's constraints — timed preparation, auto-start recording, hard caps, no retakes — because the pressure is the part nobody practices.

What this is not

Not affiliated with HireVue, Spark Hire, Workable, or any interview platform. Not a way to access, game, or predict any employer's actual screening or scoring. No pass guarantees — this trains camera presence and answer structure, which are yours to keep either way.

How your data is handled

• Recordings never leave your device. Video is captured and played back entirely in your browser; there is no upload endpoint for it.
• Transcription happens locally too — speech-to-text runs in your browser via Whisper.
• The one exception, stated plainly: to generate questions and feedback, the job description text and your answer transcripts (text only, never audio or video) are sent to our API. Skip feedback if the text is confidential.
• No accounts, no database. A session survives page reloads only in your browser's own storage; close the tab and clear it — it's gone.
